Faye Chen | Director of Choir and Handbells

Faye was born in Taiwan and graduated from the University of Shih Chien (USC) in Taipei with a degree in piano performance and a minor in violin. She pursued further studies in San Francisco, Boston, and Rhode Island.

Since 2003, Faye has been an integral part of the music ministry at First Church, serving as Bell Choir Director, directing the Junior Choir, participating in Kid Song, and occasionally substituting as organist. In 2015, under her direction, the Bell Choir had the honor of performing at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Faye and her husband, Eaton, have lived in Woodbridge for 39 years and are blessed with three grown children and three adorable grandsons. In her free time, Faye enjoys traveling, playing tennis and pickleball, reading, and trying new recipes.
